I always considered Ray to be a gentleman and he treated his staff with respect, and always trying to do the best by all..
Bill Greenaway ex Springvale. We first met Ray in 1973 when we were both first appointed to the Boronia Fire Station. Ray as 3rd Officer and me as a reliever. This meeting led to a great family relationship with Ray and Family involving many social activities such as dinner parties and rock and roll nights. Ray also introduced us to 4 wheel driving with weekends and various trips into the wilderness of the Victorian high country, and 4 Wheel Drive night drives. This friendship has continued over the years with catch ups on special occasions, at home or when on road trips. Regular phone conversations and Rays special Christmas message meant staying in touch over the years. We were privileged to catch up with Ray 8 weeks ago and I spoke to Ray just 4 days prior to his passing. Rest peacefully Ray after a very full life thanks for your continued friendship over the last 50 years. Our sincere apologies for being unable to attend Rays’ Funeral due to a hospital procedure on Thursday. Gary and Trudi Anglin
