Lucy was an exceptional Irish woman. She was a good listener and so interested in the lives of others. Her smile lit up a room. My mum, Annie Scully, another fine Irish woman, and Lucy were quite a pair of rogues. They shared a wonderful, laugh filled, loyal friendship over many years. They went on numurous adventures together both in Australia and overseas.

Beautiful memories of Aunty Lucy from our trip to Australia when we stayed with her in Baw, Baw Street, and of course from her visits to Cahersiveen. Aunty Lucy’s warm, loving, enthusiastic personality made her a joy to be with.

I have memories to cherish for ever of dear aunty Lucy y from my time in Australia in the 80’s.Baw Baw Street was home from home for me. Aunty Lucy was a most wonderful mother and grandma to her adored grandchildren. She had high principles, strong values and great faith, she was so fun loving and energetic, and she never lost her beautiful smile. I know that all her wonderful qualities will pass from generation to generation. Loving thoughts and prayers are with my dear cousins Cathy, Julie, Barbara, Maurice and Gary, her daughters in law, sons in law and grandchildren.
