It is with a saddened heart we had to say goodbye to a big hearted guy. Much loved Uncle to Karen and Peter, Great Uncle to Sam and Faith. Great Uncle to Leiah and Michael, Great Great Uncle to Georgia and Larni. It’s time to rest now Buddy (Jimdo). We will carry you in our hearts always. X

In quiet rooms, where shadows play,
A gentle soul has slipped away.
With whispered sighs, the winds intone,
Of journeys taken, now unknown.

Through fields of dreams, his trains did roam,
In lands of youth, he found his home.
With hands that crafted tales in steel,
His passion’s truth, his heart reveal.

Oh, miniature worlds, where time stood still,
Each tiny track, each distant hill,
He steered his dreams on silver rails,
Through valleys deep and misty veils.

Now in the silence, his trains will rest,
Upon the shelves, where memories nest.
Yet in our hearts, his spirit reigns,
A conductor still, on endless plains.

So let us bid farewell with grace,
To one who found his sacred place,
Among the whistles’ lonesome cries,
His spirit soars, beneath the skies.

Jimmy you had a heart of gold, you taught me the art of restoring old matchbox cars, together we built slot cars out model cars, there was always something fun or awesome going on when I came to visit on weekends, and holiday trips were always a hoot, so many great memories, rest easy now mate.

Our thoughts go out to Jim’s loved ones on his passing.
His regular Saturday morning visits where there was always a tale shared and a compliment payed, will be sadly missed by us all.
