Passed away surrounded by family at Latrobe Regional Health after a long battle with MND on Friday 2 August, 2024.

Aged 57 years.

Loving husband to Helen for 23 years.

Loving father to Peter and Loreli.

Loved brother to Shane, Peter Jr (dec) and Cheryl.

Latrobe Valley Funeral Services Chapel 6 Ollerton Avenue, MoeView Map
The Funeral Service of Mr Darren Guy “Digger” will be held at the Latrobe Valley Funeral Services Chapel, 6 Ollerton Avenue, Moe on TUESDAY (August 13, 2024) commencing at 1.00pm.

At the conclusion of the Service the Funeral will leave for the Yallourn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, on line donations to MND Australia would be appreciated.

    My heart goes out to you as I too lost my wife to MND.
    Darren brought his “own charm” to work and walking into the electrical store is not the same anymore.
    Darren had his own sense of humour and everyone could tell, he loved his work. Take care and our thoughts are with you.

  6. I worked with Darren at TAFE Gippsland, and he was part of the furniture around here. A lovely and passionate individual, who worked hard and cared for his colleagues. He has been missed on campus for some time now.

  7. Well Digger what can we say apart from rest peacefully mate. From kindergarten to primary school with Johno.
    But lots of fond memories we have to reflect on mate from playing tennis together and badminton 🏸 and football. The laughs we had when you first got your licence driving 🚗 us up Chook shit hill to badminton 🏸 😀 what happened on the trips stayed on the trips.
    Thinking of Helen and your children of whom you were so proud of mate and your brother Shane and sister Cheryl and families and extended families and closest friends.
    Finally reunited with your parents and little Peter fly high Digger 💕

  10. To Helen and Darren’s family, although I did not have the pleasure of meeting Darren I wanted to pass on my sincere condolences after seeing the notice in the TAFE newsletter. Darren’s illness would have been such an emotional challenge for you all. After being part of TAFE for over 38 years I can only imagine the dedication and character Darren must have displayed. I do hope many better memories help you through this most difficult time.
