Rest easy Gree with Granny and GeorgeWe were so sad to hear that Greer is no longer with us. We enjoyed her company so much over her Easter visits to the Nagambie farm. She was a delight to be with, a great character, full of laughs and stories around the dinner table. A model of self-sufficiency, she was always ready to help out with advice and muscle power, whether peeling spuds, pulling out dead trees, chain-sawing wood or even unblocking the toilet! She always talked proudly of Butch and Arkie. Our friend Brendon Stewart, son of the then Tyers Primary School headmaster, remembers the staunch Bland family fondly. Also saddened by this news, he described the Greer he knew as a “pocket dynamo.” .

Condolences to the family
Lee and GeoffGreer was always a ball of positive energy. Just like her father, my Uncle George. From my childhood through to adulthood, Greer never failed to make me smile as we shared a joke or even just a mischievous look. My mother Jean would often receive a surprise visit from Greer when she was in Melbourne while working for the Institute for the Blind. Those visits were the highlight of my mother’s later years and much appreciated by myself in lifting her spirits. Greer’s passing is a sad loss to her many friends and family. My condolences to Arkie and Butch. Rest In Peace Greer.
May 4, 2021So sorry to hear of Greer’s death. A great character.
May 5, 2021Greer Bland. One of the first females employed by the Department of Agriculture during the National Bovine Brucellosis and Tuberculosis Eradication Campaign. A hard and loyal worker with a heart of gold and always a smile on her face. Forever in our memories and our hearts.. Rest in peace Greer. All your former Traralgon Ag Dept. colleagues
May 6, 2021Greer, always ready for some fun up at Nagambie, over the Easter period. My children, Chloe & Lily and niece and nephews were always intrigued by the “lady with the van” . Easter egg hunts, story telling and a good joke were always enjoyed by all when Greer was around. She will be sadly missed and always remembered, especially at Easter.
