What a wonderful man who had so much to be proud of. Quiet, caring, sensible and humble – but it was his cheeky wit and love of telling a good yarn I will cherish forever. You showed us simplicity, kindness and faith can lead to a wonderfully full and enduring life. You’re also evidence that a beer on a Friday is the secret to a long life and life well lived! I could always count on you Grandad for valuable advice, support and guidance about anything and everything. Hard to think that we won’t hear “Ahh, hello Josh, hello Tonnie” anymore and that you won’t be just a phonecall away. You will be with Granmum now and we’re sure that you both are smiling. Such a beautiful, kind and caring person that we can all be thankful for knowing, for such a long time. What an extremely full and happy life you have lived. Thankyou for all the things you have taught us over the years, and for all the things that you have done (building us three boys our first billy cart, engine rebuilds on first cars, providing us with many lawn mowers, and the list goes on).
