Dear Cann Family,
We are saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Greg.
I had the pleasure working with Greg for the past 30+ years at Yallourn.
He’s was an absolute gentleman, honest and respectful person who will be sadly missed by all that loved him.
We had planned to catch for a coldie but unfortunately we won’t be.

Candy … where do I begin.. you will be missed tremendously. Words just do not describe how I’m feeling. Part of me is still in shock, I still feel like I’m going to turn up at work and see you there each morning. Everytime I see the loader I instantly get teary eyes, everytime I see the ‘where’s Wally’ book you gave me I start to cry. When I seen you at work most mornings I always asked how you slept the night before knowing you struggled at night, you always responded the same ” I just can’t wait to get a decent nights sleep”. I’m happy that you are getting well needed sleep, but extremely sad that it happened so soon and while you are still young. I miss you so much and I just wish I could see you again.. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me over the years. Writing this has somewhat helped me realise that this is real and it’s not just a bad dream..

Hey Canny, the shock of you passing still hasn’t left us. We saved ya once but couldn’t pull that miracle off again. We will miss you coming round for a beer, bullshit and belly laughs and teaching Banger to cook his first roast in the Webber. I will miss swapping tucker and recipes and glad we got to have our date night with a feed beers and the pokies when you first came back from Melb hospital. Banger will miss the years of friendship and fishing (well if he actually caught some). We said we would keep an eye out for the kids if anything happened to you and we will keep that promise to you Greg. You are now up there with Snapper (Lucy) the dog. Good mates never leave they stay in our conversations and thoughts forever.
