Born on May 14, 1942. Passed away October 20, 2022.

Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Latrobe Regional Hospital on Thursday 20 October 2022. Aged 80 years.

Dearly loved husband of Maria for 55 years.

Much loved and respected father and father-in-law of Robert, Trish and Joe.

Adored and cherished Nonno of Alex and Cassia.

Much loved adopted Nonno of Levon, Melissa, Sarah, Livy, Tom and Keegan.

Loved brother and uncle.

 

You worked so hard for those you loved,

you always did your best,

you fought until you could no more,

and now you are at rest,

sadly missed.

Funeral Notice
St. Michaels Catholic Church 33-35 Kay Street, TraralgonView Map
Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Mr Giovanni Salvatore will be offered at St Michaels Catholic Church, Church Street Traralgon on THURSDAY (October 27, 2022) at 10.30 am.

At the conclusion of mass, the Funeral will leave for the Springvale Botanical Cemetery.

Burial to be held at the - Luciano Rossetti Mausoleum.

Rosary will be recited in the above church on Wednesday evening, (October 26, 2022) at 6.30 pm.

Giovanni's service will also be livestreamed.

    We had the pleasure of meeting John and Maria through our very good friend and brother Rob a number of years ago, and the memories are still quite vivid of the beautiful day we experienced . We had a traditional Italian feast with fresh produced grown and tendered by John from his orchards and gardens. I remember walking the fields and being blown away, not just from John’s enthusiasm and passion for his amazing food bowl, but also how proud he was to share his love and passion with his family and friends.
    The gardens gave back what he gave to them❤️.
    May he now continue his love for food and family as we cherish and remember such a wonderful man.
