Flo Swan was a great friend of Moe South Fire Brigade. As a senior member of the then Narracan group of brigades, Flo, supported the new Moe South brigade members – in training, on the fire ground, and negotiating their way through the CFA politics and Narracan Group dynamics.
Flo was always friendly and solid.
His support was apprecieted by the new Moe South Brigade Managment team and all Moe South fire fighters who he came in to contact with.
He dealt with his most recent health issues with good grace and dignity.
Always remembered.

Flo was a great man who will be sadly missed by the members of Tyers Fire Brigade. He was such a respected, knowledgeable, calming and reassuring presence on the fire ground and we valued the friendship he fostered between our Brigades.

Flo unfortunately I am unable to pay my respects to you at your graveside this Friday morning, so this tribute is to acknowledge and say a personal thank you for the significant contribution you have made to community service here in Gippsland.
Locally, along with other members of the Erica & District Fire Brigade, your vision and tireless dedication to achieve better facilities, equipment and response capability for your community, your Brigade and in fact, all other fire brigades you’ve represented within the Narracan & Baw Baw Groups have made the communities you’ve served and CFA members significantly safer.
I personally valued and respected your straight talking no bull@$%* approach during all our many conversations and during times of operational activities. Rest in Peace Flo, you have clearly achieved and surpassed your vision for the Erica & District Fire Brigade which now will become your wonderful legacy that will benefit your beloved community and the members of the Brigade for many years to come.
