  12. Dad, it’s been a pleasure knowing you and looking after you in the last year, but most importantly being your son for 55 years.
You were never a burden and apologised after every visit, dementia won in the end, but it never took away your caring spirit or my name.
Que Sera, Sera, love you dad, at peace now.
    Cheers for now

  13. I love you, Dad. I didn’t always see the love you had for me, but I’m so grateful that, in the end, we were able to heal and reconnect. The best decision we ever made was moving you down here—having you as such a big part of my life and my boys’ lives was truly amazing.

Thank you for always being there for us, for doing everything you could to help, and for being my rock through the journey of parenting alone. I wouldn’t have made it through without you.

    Que sera, sera now.

    We miss you so much.

    Cheers…. Love ya xo

We spent many a baseball game with him in our early days and lots of happy trips away at Baseball Carnivals and many games were replayed later. Lots of memories to cherish. Ray and Mal

  27. Lloyd was a highly respected and valued work colleague for many years in Yarrawonga/Mulwala. He was always the first person to welcome any new staff members and was a great friend to all and their families. We loved to hear Lloyds stories of his achievements in baseball, golf and cricket, and his passion for the Melbourne Football Club. Most of all he was always very proud of kids. Deepest sympathy to Lloyds children and extended family.

  28. My heartfelt condolences go out to all of Lloyds family.
Lloyd was a valued workmate for 11 years and a friend for even longer. I will always treasure my memories of Lloyd. He had a great sense of humour and a heart of gold, but he sure loved to stir me up whenever his beloved Dees were playing my Pies. Lol.
I was lucky to get to have a good chat with him a couple months ago when he rang me by accident. Something I will never forget.
RIP Lloyd. You will be missed xx

  33. To the extended Lewis clan, we extend our thanks and condolences. Lloyd, as my first senior baseball coach dubbed me Little Beato, and it was a special privelege to play with someone that played with my dad also, and it demonstrated how exceptional Lloyd wss to play A grade baseball with a second generation of Redsox baseballers. Lloyd was an old school player and coach, and through the lean years of the 80’s and 90’s his loyalty to the club he loved never waivered. Mercy rules were common results for us, but each weekend Lewy ran training on long Saturday afternoons, and then we fronted up Sundays for what were typically tough games, but he ensured we played the game in the right spirit, and fought to the end. As juniors playing with men, he made sure we were made welcome in the team, but were not pandered to. My constant reminder of Lloyd will be having one leg longer than the other, as he was sure I could walk on a ‘sprained’ ankle that proved to have both bones broken. I know the club and his past teammates will be, but I personally will be forever grateful to the amazing work of Kelly Lewis, Joanna Lewis, and Bernie Newall, that ensured Lloyd took part in the clubs 60th Anniversary Celebrations, and also made sure that Lloyd was there to see the A and B grade premiership of 2024, and get amongst the onfield celebrations after the game. Lloyd will be forever be remembered as a Legend of the club, however I will remember a coach and teammate that supported me in my developing years, then again offered me support much later in life, and I will cherish the ability I had to say Thank you to him in his final days for his service to the club, and for what he did for me. RIP Lewy
