To Kerri’s family and friends, we are so sorry for the loss of a beautiful person. Our family didn’t know Kerri outside of her work but she was always a powerhouse of a person when we caught up with her. Friendly, happy and caring. Many years ago she took our Gem under her wing, Gem’s worker hadn’t turned up, Gem was anxious and went into the cafe, Kerri did her thing, looked after Gem, made contact with us and that is now history. However, Kerri never forgot Gem and always took the time to acknowledge and talk to her. Many breakfasts Gem enjoyed at Food Co. being waited on by Kerri as did Neil and I. What can I say , I’m in shock to hear that Kerri has suddenly passed away. When a light shines that bright you wonder just how long it will last. Kerri was the type of person that even if you had not spoken to for months or even a year, you would just pick up from where you left off. She was always bubbly , happy and always smiling. I can not say she is in a better place because she should still be here bringing joy and happiness to all she meets. Her son Beau, is the light of her life, her reason for being. I know most of all that her love for Beau made her the person she became, loving caring kind compassionate, funny . I hear her voice now, laughing, what a sense of humour and no judgements. I’m sure that there will be so many lives she touched and so many who will miss her. I think my last words to her were “catch you later”.. so now it will be ..til we meet again beautiful friend.
