With a heavy heart, I would like to pay tribute to my friend and colleague, Col. Over the past two years, he became much more than a co-worker. Col’s kindness, integrity, and positivity brightened even the toughest days.
Always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh, his dedication and generosity set a standard we all admired. Above all, we’ll miss his warmth and infectious spirit that brought us together.

A technical master on condition monitoring of rotating equipment, and a master of conversation. Spent many hours discussing technical stuff, and loved those talks. A dedicated person who built the condition monitoring team to a new level in the paper industry, as well, before returning to Yallourn. I will miss our conversations and your smiling face that says “i have the solution….but”. Rest in peace

Colin was a former colleague at Yallourn and I am shaken to the core by his passing.
An intelligent and confident fellow who made many of us look pedestrian with his abilities.
It has been many years since I last saw him but I still remember him well.

I remember days working with you, Col, so clearly. Your enthusiasm and knowledge for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance were extensive and contagious. Talks with you were never dull. Karen, Riley and Lauren – I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that we are thinking of you all and Col will be fondly remembered. He has left enduring legacies.

It’s hard to think that you are gone.
I still expect to see you walk into our office and share your stories.
Common sense isn’t so common these days, but you had it in spades, we really did lose one of the best.
I can honestly say I am better for knowing you mate.

Sorry to hear of Colin’s passing, I worked with him for a number of years in the Engineering Department at Australian Paper. He was very dedicated and set a high standard in the Condition Monitoring team. Deepest condolences to Karen and family at this sad time.

I only knew Colin for a short 2 years, but I spent a lot of time with him discussing all areas of the Yallourn plant and its history.
Colin was an unrivalled wealth of knowledge and loved getting into the detail, as I am a sucker for detail this could lead our conversations into the multiple hours.
If I was working late, I would sometimes drop by his office and convince him to go home and walk to the carpark with me, this would usually lead to another 30 mins of carpark chat.
I am truly thankful for the knowledge he bestowed upon me, his patience with my questions and his always positive attitude (I have never seen him not smiling and laughing).

Colin, you will be dearly missed.

I am very saddened to hear the news of Colin’s passing. Friends and housemates many, many years ago, I will remember Colin being a clever, funny and respectful person. The speedboat on Hazelwood Pondage, his Torana (which he let me drive once!) and the long chats are forever fond memories. Deepest condolences to Karen and family.
