Born on May 1, 1944. Passed away September 10, 2023.

Passed away peacefully at Latrobe Regional Hospital on Sunday 10 September 2023. Aged 79 years.

Loved and loving husband of Shirley.

Stepfather to Linden & Peter and Allan & Peta.

Grand pop to Lachlan, Mason, Hunter and Parker.

Very dear friend of Lisa.

So dearly loved, so sadly missed.

The Funeral Service for Mr Edward Glover Allchin “Ted” will be held at, Latrobe Valley Funeral Services Moe Chapel, 6 Ollerton Avenue, Moe on FRIDAY (September 15, 2023) commencing at 11.00 am.

Following the service the funeral will leave for Willow Grove Cemetery, Main Road, Willow Grove.

In lieu of flowers, donations to SES Moe are appreciated.

Masonic Brethren are respectfully invited to attend.

Ted's service will be livestreamed.

  12. I have always felt I owed Ted a huge debt of gratitude. He used to pick me up in Newborough and take me to Traralgon for the Youth Radio Club Scheme (YRCS) classes run by him (also including Brian Young VK3BBB and others). I think it was a 2 door Datsun but I was only 14-15 so its a LONG time ago! (~1975-76)
    Later, when some of the classes moved to Trafalgar, he would drive to Newborough, pick me up and take me to Traff, repeating the trip after the class… always in that trusty Land Rover.
    I learned a LOT from Ted. Vale Ted Alchin.
