I will not say goodbye just farewell as I watch you walk across the Rainbow Bridge on a new journey that is yours to take while we are left behind, may it be a good one and find your little four-legged friend Savanna with tail wagging as you walk up.
Betty, I will miss you deeply you were my friend you made me laugh and made me frustrated at times, you and a cheeky smile and a wicked grin. I watched you for five days as you slowly slipped away, your pain is gone, you are at peace now.

A Remembrance Poem for our Dear Betty.

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared
Miss me, but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
It’s all part of the master plan
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know.
Laugh at all the things we used to do
Miss me, but let me go.

Betty you will be sadly missed .you loved having a chat on the phone when I went to ring you I knew I’d have to at least put an hour aside as it was never a short phone call you loved your country music and at times went to great lengths to get there so you would not miss out .
