So many good memories of lovely ‘Aunty’ Val. On holiday visits as a kid – Val laughing at breakfast, noisy cousins around the enormous old table in the homestead kitchen. Warm milk in a billy can, straight from the cowshed, summoned at her command. Baths in one inch of shared precious tank water. Her hard work on the farm, always a soft heart for the cows. Val’s ‘new’ house that seemed to be always filled with visitors and good cheer around the enormous grate. The boundless loving care she showed for Frank and little Kate. Her calm presence and love of family in happy times and in adversity. So loved in return. Always in my heart. Love to Peter, Ross, Kerri and Jane, their partners and family.

Wonderful childhood memories of time spent on the farm with my dearest Aunty Val. And our children years later remember their Great Aunt’s visit and her gifts of beautiful books, which she sat and fondly read to them.
A beautiful soul with immense talent and grace.
We will miss your gentle smile and generous spirit.

Goodbye to such a wonderful lady you were always lovely to have a chat too we always loved having dinner with you at the Glen pub we will miss your lovely hand written Xmas cards such lovely writing but most of all we will miss you see you on the other side someday bye Val.

Val was a soft, kind and welcoming soul. I am proud to be considered one of her very many ‘adopted’ children. I will sadly miss Val, after being part of each others lives for so many years. I was sorry to learn of Val’s passing. Although it is many, many years since I stayed with your family I have always remembered her with great fondness as a kind, loving and gracious woman.
