The Funeral Service of Mr Gary Chadwick will be held at Latrobe Valley Funeral Services Chapel, 260 Princes Highway, Traralgon on Monday, February 28, 2022, commencing at 11.00am.

Following the service, the funeral will leave for the Traralgon Cemetery, Gippsland Memorial Park.

Gary's service will also be livestreamed.

  9. It’s not goodbye my friend, just another excuse that we never needed to have
    as we open another bottle of Scotch. A 40-year-old CREAM OF THE BARLEY should do the trick. Just a wee bit of nic-nic for that trip above.
    We became school friends back in 64. So many great memories of good times from the past. Always keeping in touch no matter how far apart. Those odd calls from overseas for advice on a crane, or the e-mails that started while we were both off the Nigerian coast. I put a pass code to open the e-mails, but to allow Gary to work out how to open them the hint was (Gary use your fathers name as we knew him). Only the Australians would know the nickname for Richard. We would also note our longitude and latitude to compare location. That allowed us to face in the right direction to toast each other on Xmas eve or New Years Eve and birthdays when we would both be working away from home.
    No, it’s not goodbye, you’re just working away again.
    Our last talk was different to the others before. That time we had talked for a hour about our failing bodies and the inconvenience of not being able to do the things the way we were able to a few years ago.
    We didn’t come with a warranty. If we did, it ran out years ago.
    I’ll be there Gary to see you off on Monday for that big trip above.
