June 13, 2024What I would give to be working side by side in the paddocks with you again. Grabbing a splice and sarsaparilla on the way home from the farm after a good days work. Thanks for all the memories Grandad. Love your guts, so so much.

I am sure many have vast memories to draw on. For me, I picture you in your garden, or on your farm, whistling as you go. Tinkering. Building. Sitting in your chair at the kitchen table, singing with your dog. Or eating vanilla ice cream hehe. Working on a crossword. Taking the biggest torch I can picture on a night walk. Playing your guitar in the TV room. Or even simply watching Gardening Australia of an evening while Nana plaits our hair.
Right now. I picture you strolling through your garden, flannelette shirt on, a beautiful tune many of us would have no hopes of repeating while attempting to whistle. Maybe with a garden tool lazily over your shoulder. While all your beloved animals from ages past greet you happily with adoration.
Rest in peace Grandad.
Love Alyse, Emelia and Bodhi xoxoxoSending love hugs and prayers to Beryl and all the family .. Charlie you will be missed by all who knew you xox

June 16, 2024Condolences to you Beryl and family. After meeting you both at a party at Liz and Garry’s house many years ago, we have had so many wonderful times together, whether it was having a beer out by the ute, doing garden tours or having a big laugh around your kitchen table. Charlie was a man of enormous integrity and generosity and he dearly loved his family, including the animals. One of a kind. He will be missed. Love Benn, Robyn and Will
June 19, 2024My sincere condolences to you Beryl and your family. Sorry I can’t be there to farewell Charlie tomorrow.
As others have said, Charlie you have been a steady presence throughout my life. When I was young I often wandered down to your beautiful farm, where I always felt warmly welcome. In more recent times, it has been nice to catch up when you call mum and dad’s landline, and it was a special treat to celebrate you and Beryl’s 65th wedding anniversary – an incredible achievement.
I know my parents have treasured your friendship. I have always admired your kindness, resilience and work ethic. Thanks for being a wonderful person Charlie, you made the world a better place and will be dearly missed. Rest peacefully.
With love from Monica, Matt & Harry
