Tributes
  1. Dear Aunty Lil. A lifetime of memories with you and Uncle Bert from the time you came out from Ireland, met my parents, became lifelong friends and part of our family. Mum and you even travelled together on those train trips around Australia, having a ball!
I always will remember your homemade food- drop scones, barmbrack, fairy cakes, scones etc whenever we visited and at every gathering you could always be found in the kitchen helping out.
One of the best! Now with her beloved Bert. Xxxx

  4. Our dear Lil. The light of my days when she came into work. Always a smile and a story. Putting every day into perspective; “it’s always a good day when you wake up and put your feet on the ground” The way she spoke of her life and how full it was, will always make me smile. You are SO missed. Enjoy those longs walks with your loves xoxo

  6. Sending condolences to Son Glen, daughter-in-law Karen and grandchildren Jarrad, Jai and Chloe.

My sister Lily left Belfast for Australia seventy five years ago when I was thirteen. Through time contact was limited but over the last few years her dear friend Ann Vokes forged contact with me via email and modern technology. We all had several discussions, laughs and a few tears. Lily even sent a few videos of herself singing and performing..she always loved the limelight

Glen I hope your mum will be reunited with your father Bert, her brothers Sandy and Albert and Sisters Sadie, Jessie, Belle and Helen.

Thank you Ann for your caring nature and kindness towards lily over the last forty five years and for contacting me to have those special moments with my big sister.
