Dear Gladys. You ended up being my friend after i met you at your daughter Gwen’s house. We got on famously and had many laughs. We talked about life and how horrid it could be. You always talked about the love and devotion you had for your children and i admired that immensely, and wished i had the same. I love you and hope you are at peace, and i will never forget you or our friendship. I love you and hope you have met up with those you love that left before you? I will never forget you or the wonderful friendship and laughs we had. I’ll miss you my friend and I’m sad you are gone. Til we meet again to give everyone hell. Love you always. I just want to say that it was such a pleasure to know Gladys, such a beautiful kind friend and she will be fondly remembered.

Ah Granny Nanny, you left too soon.
So many things still not done, still not seen, still not heard. I will miss seeing you on the doorstep fast asleep “watching the cats or counting the manderines on the tree” or fast asleep “watching” the TV in the afternoons.
Hope you had some good times here at the farm. The cats, Lambsie and little Miss Spot will miss you as well.
Say hello to all those who have gone before you. I will plant a lemon tree just for you.

So so so saddened to hear your beautiful mum is no longer with us.
Together you and Gladys could be a force to be reckoned with, through the good times and the bad, the happy times and the sad. Never doubt that you were the rock she trusted and believed in, for many years. Gladys was always up for a chat, and a cuppa and I remember the endless hours of Majong she bragged about playing.

She has earned her resting place with the angels and her chance to soar among the stars. A beautiful soul.

Her wings were ready.

Gladys will be dearly missed. I have so many memories of a wonderful lady who welcomed you into her life with open arms. From everyone curling up on her bed drinking coffee, only to be shuffled out when Home and Away came on…
sitting out the front having a smoke and talking.
The encouragement I received from her while going back to study. From her.
You were definitely one in a million, with a strength and determination that astounded everyone.
Thankyou for the beautiful gift of getting to know you and the privilege of time spent with you.

Dear Gladys, it’s gonna be a different life for us now you’re not here, I’m so glad you’re at peace now but we are going to miss you terribly, I’m forever grateful for the photos I have with you and I still remember trying to teach you about Snapchat on my phone when I was like 16, I have so many great memories with you that I will cherish, you were an amazing person and had a massive heart, I don’t doubt you’re watching over everyone you loved and I will remember the happiness you bought into my life, thank you for everything you did for me, love you and miss you… xx
