Thank you for welcoming me into your home with open arms from day one. We shared many fun times together over the years. Hours spent chatting at the dining room table fixing worldly problems. We enjoyed many a roast, a drink or two and countless cuppas with afternoon teas. We had fun camping, the odd
day trip and fun times at New Years Eve with Chris & Wendy. I used to look forward to my weekend stays at your “retreat” sitting out the back in the peace, and serenity, and warmth of the morning sun. When Elise and Hannah came into our lives, as a proud Pa on both occasions , you were one of the first to visit and give them a loving cuddle to welcome them into the world. I admired watching you hug and kiss all your family as you greeted or said goodbye to them. I will never forget your last words to me with a tear in your eye, but a smile on your face, before you hugged and kissed me goodbye. I am grateful I had the chance to see you that one last time………. Rest peacefully now Gerry <3 <3
My love to all, Helen. xxTo my very special brother Gerry. You will be dearly missed. You are one incredibly special man who could always make us laugh in the good times and the bad. Iβm going to miss your cheekiness and the family get-togethers that we had and see who was going to get into trouble first, you or me. I am so proud of you and what you have achieved in your life and you have done an excellent job with your darling wife Rose and your beautiful children. I love you brother. RIP β€οΈ

October 7, 2020Gerry when I was about three and at the time was with you and Rose. You were working at the butchers in Heyfield, for some reason I got the poos on and decided I was leaving home. So I packed my teddy and few other things into a cardboard box and away I went. As I went passed the butcher shop you come flying out the the shop door yelling at me where you going, I going away I said. You said get yourself home before I get there so with that I turned to run home but you beat me, and I knew I was in for it but Rose saved me. October 13, 2020I shed a tear for a wonderful man today. Gerry and Rose, you are part of my childhood memories. From the days in the Esso Service Station in Warragul in the 60s to both families moving to Frankston.
You were close friends with my parents, Lois and Gerry, all those years ago. I reckon they would have been so happy to see your great success on the greyhound track.
My deepest condolences to Rose and all the family. Thinking of you all.
