The members of Yinnar Bowls Club are deeply saddened by the loss of our long time member Roger, who for many years held the positions of Board Director, Treasurer and Secretary. Roger was always a wealth of knowledge and will be sorely missed at our Club. Our sincere condolences are extended to Roger’s family.

Roger Close was a member of our team that built the Churchill Scout Hall.
He was our treasurer at the time.
Many will remember roger as the person who paid the bills and saw our scout hall opened with money in the bank.

Roger was such a lovely friendly gentleman where we had many great chats with him in the Churchill Newsagents , when we were the owners 1990 – 2004.

So sorry to hear. Roger and Lois were close friends of my parents, Roma and Fred Goddard and now they have all gone on ahead. I had lovely chats with Roger whenever we met and now he has slipped away too. A lovely man.
