It is hard to imagine StVincent’s parish without Terry. All the schools Masses, all the sacramental Masses, all the funeral Masses, all the Easter Liturgies, all the Christmas Masses, Masses at the aged care facilities, parish retreats, parish Carnivals and 9 o’clock Mass.. We think St Vincent’s Parish and we think Monica and Terry Lappin. We all have so much to be thankful for. Priests came and went but Terry was a constant.

Frank has fond memories of the days working in the transport industry with Terry. It was good fun competing with each other loading the trucks. (Mind you – Terry always beat Frank!)

Deepest Sympathy to Monica and family on the death of Terry RIP. Even though we have not seen each other for a long time the Lappins were always in our hearts and considered part of the enlarged O’Reilly/Murray family.

Dad, there are so many reasons to be thankful that you are my dad, you taught us all so many lessons about life; the importance of unconditional love, being able to forgive, seeing the best in everyone, as well as looking at things from another’s perspective, perseverance, and just how we have to value family to name a few. Special memories. I was one of the many blessed to be a part of Lappins household as I was growing up. Always felt welcomed and at home with enough delicious food to go round.( Stew and roast chicken, yum!)
Mr Lappin usually greeted me with a ‘friendly “Hey Diffa” and a pull of my hair. (I managed to cover the bald spots quite well over the years.) Then if I was lucky I got a low flying drive home with Marian and I hanging on for dear life. The 10 minute drive was made in only 5.
Here’s to you Terry,
always warm and welcoming and ready for a chat.
A Beloved husband, father and grandfather. You will be missed and remembered with much fondness and love.
I so wish I could be there with you all today to celebrate a life well lived. But I will be with you in spirit.
