So many memories from the first time we met at Traralgon Tech back in 1972 after you’d moved down from Vinifera. Becoming friends at school, playing footy against and eventually together with, drinking, you doing burns outs in your old HQ and heaps of other great times I have never forgotten and never will till it’s my time to go.
December 20, 2020Boppa from an old mate who shared treasured times from many moons ago you will be missed i;m sure rest in peace Buddy.

December 21, 2020Just a few weeks ago we were chatting for an hour about the usual cricket and family mate. You never ever left me in any doubt about your love of cricket, but your love of Poss, Party and Erin shone through more than anything else. Hard to believe. Nothing but the greatest of memories.

Some of the “old boys” in their previous tributes have expressed their gratitude of what you meant to us in those teenage days and I wish to add to their comments. There was indeed the color TV,the back shed pool room and the music (Ian Hunter & Paul McCartney & Wings to name a couple). You had the best Skateboard and many of us spent the evenings skateboarding down near the Swimming Pool. You played Cricket then for bloody Centrals and Football for bloody Southside however our friendship prevailed because you were a fantastic fellow and we were friends forever because of those early days and that is what mattered throughout our lives even though our lives went in somewhat different directions.Christine was also there in these early days and it goes to prove what an enduring bond you two had forever.Whenever our paths crossed post teenage days it was like yesterday “G’day Boppa” “G’day Roy” and we were always friends because we go back.Old friends for life. Those early days were priceless!
RIP “Boppa” McLeanPete, Always with that great big smile

Rhonda Cattanach (Borchard)Oh Pete big Dunc in Perth just called me such sad news. You will be greatly missed by many Sue and myself included, we just talked about the most amazing and great times we had attending and participating in roller hockey matches, street drags in Dandenong, (you were always chasing the elusive 10 second quarter mile in that HG)))) boxing nights across the Melbourne suburbs and that flat in Davidson Streeet haha located just 2 doors from Christine’s parents too! Such great times and laughs. Mate legends are remembered you certainly will be too! RIP……… Rob Stevens (tonna)
