Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Heritage Manor on Wednesday 2 August 2023. Aged 91 years.

Loved and loving wife of John.

Dearly loved mother of John & Lorraine, Susan & Gary, Mark & Judy and Katherine.

Cherished Nan of Simon & Natara, Brendan & Sarah, Nathan, Rachael, Cian, Keely, Kara, Alanna & Rick, Samantha & Brent.

Great Nan to Lenny, Carter, Hugo, Finn, Alby, Mila, Monet, Kian, Macy, Paton, Emerson, Mia, Kalani, Charlie and Dawson.

Loved and remembered always.

The funeral service and committal for cremation of Mrs Joyce Mary Murfett will be held at the Gippsland Memorial Park, Rose Chapel, Cemetery Drive, Traralgon on TUESDAY (August 8, 2023) commencing at 2pm.

  4. We have great memories of the many years we sang with Joy in the Yallourn Madrigal Singers, and her lovely soprano voice. The Winter Feasts at Gaztronomy with Sue and Gary were a highlight. Rest in peace, Joy.

  5. One of the most beautiful people I have ever known, such a loving heart and soul. So many wonderful memories of our time together all those years ago singing with LLOS, travelling to Eistedddfods and then the Chorale. My deepest sympathy to all the family. Rest is peace dear Joy.

  6. I have such lovely memories of singing with Joy in the Yallourn Madrigal Singers and the Latrobe Chorale. Joy had such a sweet soprano voice which she loved sharing with others, and she took great delight in participating in multiple musical activities. Joy was a real lady and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Joy, and deepest sympathy to those who loved you.
