April 15, 2024Dear Mum,
I am so glad to have been reunited with you albeit for but a short time. I am so proud of the achievements you made in your life and the positive impact you have made on the lives of so many.
You gave me life, you gave me memories, you gave me pride in my heritage and I like to think that I have inherited some of that Scottish grit and determination, altruism and compassion for which you were so well known.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet my half brother, Lindsay who was such an amazing support for you and gave you a beautiful send off today.I will need an interpretation of his last tributes ; unfortunately mum didn’t teach me the Gallic language. And me being a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce and all!!
Rest in Peace mum. Enjoy the sound of the pipes,

Love Catherine xI am thinking of all those who knew and loved Alison Waite. Although I was not fortunate enough to meet her, I marvel at the many things she was able to accomplish over her lifetime. She will live on in her bright and talented children and grandchildren.
