We are going miss you mate, the laughs that were had on Fridays when a bloke from Laverton would ring up. We will all look forward to the words of John 5:28, 29. A time of rejoicing to wipe away the mourning we are all suffering at this time of your passing. My sincerest condolences to your wife, Nueng, and your son, Chaz, may you continue living your life knowing that Watto spoke very fondly of you regularly.

Avid race car enthusiast, keen fisherman, dedicated community minded person, enthusiastic “can do” worker, dedicated family man, bundle of laughs and happiness, fair dinkum decent bloke, loyal friend, great mate ….. will be sadly missed.

Watto, in all the years since 1980, I was in the Snowy region first as a Contractor and then an employee. Of all the many 100s I’ve met! you Sir were one of the people I always classified as a “Gentleman”. Thankyou it was a pleasure to be a work colleague and a good friend.

I remember John as a friendly, welcoming face and cheerful company whenever I was visiting or doing projects at Valley Power. I am sure he will be missed by many.

Watto, I can’t believe you’re gone. The world will miss your smiling face and infectious laughter. I will miss you as a lifelong friend and a source of inspiration. RIP mate, the world is a poorer place without you.

The adventure had only just begun. I hope to see you in another life where our friendship can continue where we left off. You are true gentleman, mate and confidant. It’s true the world is in worse shape without you, and as am I. Horrible news and with great sadness to hear the passing of a long time friend. Back in 1989 when I first started in Snowy in Khancoban you reached out and included me in local activities and showed friendship to me as a new young employee. We stayed friends over the years and worked together on the Murray Overhauls and shared many laughs and good times. Rest in Peace. you will be missed my friend.

I have worked closely with John over the past 2 years working on prequalifying contractors, John has been a great help in this process, always ring you back if he was busy nothing was ever to hard for John he will be sadly missed
