So many core childhood memories spent with the Winterton’s, for which I always cherish.
A man devoted to his friendship with Horts, spending his limited time and energy with him in his final days & being there for our family, especially Mum as she grieved.

Geoff, you were such a top bloke and always like a second dad to me, I grew up around you most of my childhood and always loved having a chat with you and dad. You will be dearly missed and I’ll now forever miss you and dad being there for me to talk to whenever I needed. You had a heart of gold and we will all miss you so much. Had the pleasure of working with Geoff on numerous jobs both offshore and onshore. He was a great workmate who thrilled me (not!) with a detailed account of every Collingwood win or, in the case of a loss, how the umpires had taken bribes!
He always knew where the next job was and if he he didn’t he’d find out! My condolences to his family, he’ll be sorely missed. Jonesy
